SUMMER 2008 Mandarin classes 

Mandarin level one is for students who haven't learned Mandarin before. The course will include listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing through various topics, such as greetings, family, and dates, telling time, etc. It emphasizes speaking and reading. Pinyin, the phonetic alphabet, and basic grammar will be introduced and practiced.

Mandarin level two will continue to build up language skills. It emphasizes speaking, reading, and writing.  Topics will include making appointments, shopping, weather, etc.
